2.5 years outback with nickel creek

Well, me and Elise have now been dating for two and half years. It has been a long time, but i truly love all the times I have spent with her. I can't wait to tie the knot with her. Well it is fall break here at the WU, and there is literally nobody here. Me and Elise are only here because we decided to take the fall break duty instead of the Easter break duty (easter break is longer). So because of all this Elise and I decided to go out this past thursday. We drove about 2 hours down to bloomington, IN and got a little Outback Steakhouse. It was real good food, but it took a real LONG time...we were pretty much full of off bloomin onion and bread by the time we got our actual meals. The outcome was the same however, I finished my entire meal (except for some gross veggies) of steak and potatoe while Elise only ate about half of the troat she had. O well (praise God for gift certificates from the mama). You might be wondering why in the world we drove so far just for a little outback, well we actually wanted to see the wonderful and amazing Nickel Creek. They are probably one of Elise and I's favorite bands...so we decided to go see em. It was in this bar, which as you all know is a little out of Elise and I's comfort zone anyway. Despite this fact, and the REALLY drunk pair in front of us (dancing, talking, and singing loudly) we really enjoyed it. They played almost all of my favorites from all three CD's. That makes sense this being their fairwell tour (For now). Anyway, i got some video footage from out nights adventure, which also includes a nice little surprise at the end for all of the Brittany lovers out there!!

Hope all yall out there are having a great fall...i know i am!

Bonai-o-rifiCK!

Well....I have had a little more time to work on some of my bonsai trees as of late with me and Elise adopting a no TV regimen for that last couple of weeks. Don't tell her but it has actually been kinda nice to have time for a few of my other hobbies like reading the new harry potter book(very good by the way), reading devotionals, catagorizing my pictures, taking a few hikes (well actually just one), Reading my bible of course, and doing a little bonsai work. I have recently repotted three of my trees and done some work on the branches. O well, i guess im kinda a dork but i do not care! I hope all is well with everyone.

whirlwind weekends

i'm gonna copy elise because she seems to take all the good titles, but she is right. Our weekends have been whirlwindish. We have been in Charlotte, Table Rock, and now Indianapolis...it is a lot of driving. It is kinda crazy how much time i am getting to spend with this girl... i love it!

Pan-Pan

is what Elise and I affectionately call Panera bread company. We drove down to Kokomo, and spent the entire afternoon just eating, sipping, and studying in the smooth, jazzy environment of bready goodness. It has been absolutely great. This is of course ignoring the fact that i just did pretty terribly on the physio test i just took, and even the fact that all of my school has seem to pile up even though i have been working by butt off. Praise God for bread....o yeah and Dr. Pepper. We did get a lot of studying done though. I was looking at my physio stuff, central nervous system, autonomic nervous system, and special senses, while Elise was looking at her nursing stuff. It has truly been delightful.

On another topic, i have found out that i will probably be at home this summer. This is kinda encouraging and discouraging all at once. i will get to be at home, at my church, with my friends, but i did not get the jobs that i applied for. I know that God will provide something though, (or i just hope He will) even if it is landscaping. I think that i summer out of doors would do me some good. O well. I'm sure He has a plan...

Numero Uno

Well...Here it is....my first post on my new blog

I am pretty sure it will not be to interesting considering that i am in Biochemistry right now...the class is usually interesting though.

I do need some prayer right now, because everything seems to be coming down on me at once. MCATs are coming up on May 11, May term and summer job problems are already starting, and I'm a little tired...

So i guess i will start to pay attention again we are talking about cloning genes here in class
